@galesteppes pretty sure Huawei is a wing of the CCP, given their reaction to Canada arresting an executive. Also everything actually based in China has to give a portion of the company to the gov that is there.

Pretty much every big company in China is CCP. Do you know how TenCent got big? They violated international finance law and the CCP kept competing payment processors out of the country until they could achieve market dominance. They lost in court, paid the fine, and kept doing it anyway. The odds of Huawei not using any network they have to compromise security and steal technology and intelligence from any client they have are essentially zero.
