Now what you’re advocating for is something completely different. What’s in the past is in the past that research happened and we can’t do anything about it. We can salvage the data and help people still with that data. What we need to do now is follow the ethical guidelines because there are reasons why they are in place. We shouldn’t do the nazi’s methods anymore because it’s highly unethical. However their experiment data is still valid to contribute to society. @Coffee

Well that was exactly my question. Suppose there was some important research that could only be done through unethical means, because there was no ethical way to conduct it by our standards. If the people that would be willing to do this research knew the results were going to be used, wouldn't they be more likely to actually do it? @Mitikozuki
