From Wikipedia: Coal miners
The term "redneck" in the early 20th century was occasionally used in reference to American coal miner union members who wore red bandannas for solidarity. The sense of "a union man" dates at least to the 1910s and was especially popular during the 1920s and 1930s in the coal-producing regions of West Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania.[14] It was also used by union strikers to describe poor white strikebreakers.[15]
Here's an article about the miners rebellion https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Blair_Mountain
Speaking of communism
I don't think throwing the baby out with the bathwater on collectivism is a good idea, people should help one another to a point.
that "Doing Better Most Days" video you have is something else, lol
A major problem in West Virginia are the 1st and 3rd disability checks people get, rather than just helping people who need it, it's people who could be working using it as a primary source of income.
And rather than saving money or using it to better their lives, a lot of people spend it all the first week and then struggle the rest of the month.
collectivism =/= people helping one another out though
I played a online game with someone from Isreal, when I told him I was from West Virginia, he said "I heard that place was a shithole." I replied, "I've heard the same thing about where you're from too pal."
It's fun talking to people around the world who have different experiences than I do.
That sacramento city hall livestream was an example of collectivism.
I'm not familiar with the video, could you sum it up?
ni**ers
I'm thinking collectivism as an idea, like communism is supposed to be, that all for one, one for all kind of idea.
Protesting en masse, and chanting slogans with no substance
Each according to his ability, each according to his need.
So just like the gun control kids?
They're catchphrases
Does the gun control lead boy know he goofed putting his fist up?
I'd like to hope his mom and dad or whatever handlers he has feeding him lines yelled at him over doing thast.
That image will haunt him forever.
It will certainly not go away from the internet.
I want his parents fined heavily for interferring in the democratic process
There was one tape I saw where a gal was speaking, "The banning of bump stocks is an inch they're giving us, but we can't stop there, we have to take a mile"
Let the record show, his parents work for the FBI and CNN
This is the best thing about having 'young people' stumping for gun control
Subversion it is then
Is they don't know when to shut the fuck up
Surely that isn't a coincidence and surely they're not putting words or ideas into his mouth.
I love when people don't realize it's already illegal to own machine guns.
I want Hogg's father arrested for subversion
One guy was arguing against arming teacher by saying "do we want to arm our priests and rabbis too????"
I'm sorry, automatic weapons.
It's like, dude. Have you been paying attention
I bet a lot of priests and rabbis have pistols.
Especially here in West Virginia.
People don't fuck around.
Well, there have been shootings at synagogues before
