moderation is an impossible lesson to learn, for some people
i feel like people lie to themselves in lieu of moderation. its not hard to eat less *salt*
they just found an easier solution, make it a hate crime to say anything mean to them
maybe people can just do something ineffective long enough to convince themselves it's outside their control
