I soak in about 4-5 hours daily
I don't think it's an excuse to ignore it sure, but there needs to be moderation.
I've made myself more tolerant, but lately it's been crazy.
meh
don't dip yourself in the vat too long
I take about a week off from politics once a month
so many different people all screaming about how their ideas are the best
after a while it becomes static
and it's easy to lose your own sense of direction
I was to do this right about now, however with the way things have been, I **need** to know what's going on.
This is potential war
@Reaps I say if you have the ability to organize and detect ideological positions or talking points, it's only a matter of how well you can organize it.
Objective vs Subjective
Socratic vs Catharsis
potential war is with us every day; I really don't see this escalating to direct, open war between two nuclear nations
At worst maybe some air combat between the two nations, maybe *maybe* some exchanges between forces in Syria that *might* be onb the ground, and I stil find that unlikely. Hell, if I'm wrong it's not going to matter anyway now, is it
mmm, how can I put this; it's like the bulkheads in a ship
if one takes on water, no big deal

just try to avoid running the entire hull into an iceberg and taking on too much water too fast
I'm concerned for one of my family members who will most likely be out there.
Man.. I was upset with the Hawaiian incoming ballistic missile alert since I had family there.
Feels like that, but slower
much more painful overall.
Oversaturation of politics can cause loss of perspective
I remember having friends in northern Israel during the whole Lebanon thing circa 2006
Yeah that's true.
that was fun.
I listen to InfoWars a lot, and I have to take a step back to understand their talking points vs my views on things. Listening to them daily got me into the routine of observing things from a distance.
erm
..
well..
..as long as you are also listening to other sources..
It's a good exercise.
I dont think the human mind can handle 15 hours of InfoWars a week
Yeah I do
I go through a lot. I like a lot of people who work for InfoWars.
I can easily differentiate their views from their research.
I've run into at least three people in the last week at work who.. sound like people who listen to too much infowars..
