Yes, it is based on but each level of what makes a computer is its own level. And no single human, or VERY few has a true deep understanding on all of those levels.

And this is true in most all in the modern societies.

@Kalisme yeah but if you spent the time to learn the foundational elements of computing enough to be able to classify yourself an expect on it. You've precluded yourself from ever really having the time to learn the practical level above. So your stuck with a theoretical knowledge that is 'pure' but basically useless, or a practical knowledge that doesn't even remember what the original building blocks were.

also my friend group, half of us have some form of high-functioning autism

so we built a minecraft computer after finding out about little man computers

also we learned a bit of assembly

I am precluding social aspects of it since those are harder.
