2018-05-26 13:11:01 UTC

Metric system ftw

2018-05-26 13:11:31 UTC

To be fair imperial is good enough for most stuff. That's why they still use it

2018-05-26 13:11:44 UTC

It's good enough for retards

2018-05-26 13:12:12 UTC

Air force pilots use imperial

2018-05-26 13:12:41 UTC

who in their right mind wants to use this fucking garbage

2018-05-26 13:13:05 UTC

you mean they measure height in "feet"?

2018-05-26 13:14:10 UTC

1 day = 24 hours = 1440 minutes = 86400 seconds

2018-05-26 13:14:42 UTC

ok

2018-05-26 13:15:37 UTC

The difference is the scale, Kilo, Mega, Giga, ......

2018-05-26 13:15:50 UTC

what/why are u arguing?

2018-05-26 13:16:14 UTC

it is 10^n.

2018-05-26 13:16:44 UTC

175cm is 1,75m.

2018-05-26 13:16:45 UTC

We still use it cause it works for the most part....

2018-05-26 13:17:25 UTC

Same for imperial

2018-05-26 13:17:26 UTC

And then you can take the cube of it, and relate it to liter.

2018-05-26 13:17:58 UTC

Yeah metric is obviously superior to imperial

2018-05-26 13:18:04 UTC

everything easy, thats why its loved so much.

2018-05-26 13:18:48 UTC

I get, what you are saying Baraban.

2018-05-26 13:19:17 UTC

it is definitely much cleaner, but when you grow up with the imperial system you just get it. It's only a problem for people who don't use imperial, and they can all fuck off

2018-05-26 13:19:31 UTC

rekt

2018-05-26 13:19:38 UTC

@Deleted User get you teached metric system in school and do Americans know how it works?

2018-05-26 13:19:49 UTC

yeah

2018-05-26 13:20:35 UTC

but in everyday life we use imperial

2018-05-26 13:20:40 UTC

Wait so who uses stones?

2018-05-26 13:20:53 UTC

we don't use stones in the US

2018-05-26 13:20:55 UTC

Switching is hard, I know. You have to change a lot.

2018-05-26 13:20:55 UTC

I never heard about stones as unit of measure

2018-05-26 13:21:42 UTC

In electronics, the grid for the feets of chips is often also inches.

2018-05-26 13:21:56 UTC

This unit of measurement is used in Australia, Great Britain, and Ireland for measuring human body weight, and people there may commonly be said to weigh, e.g., 11 stone 4 (11 stone - 4 pounds), which equals approx. 72 kilograms

2018-05-26 13:22:39 UTC

@Baraban I'm clean

2018-05-26 13:22:42 UTC

I smell good

2018-05-26 13:22:48 UTC

The shower is officially over

2018-05-26 13:22:56 UTC

And now I will go and eat food

2018-05-26 13:22:58 UTC

Awesome

2018-05-26 13:23:04 UTC

I wonder if speaking English as first language just makes you bad at figuring out scales and measures.

2018-05-26 13:23:20 UTC

it's hard to switch because you grow up with a sense of the measurements in your head, feet, miles, etc. so it's much easier to keep using that because everyone knows what you are talking about. If someone tells me something is a certain amount of kilometers away, I can't get a good sense of how far that really is.

2018-05-26 13:23:33 UTC

I have not schowered yet, but I will later after going for a run.

2018-05-26 13:23:45 UTC

What I plan to eat is : Salmon, Rice flakes, Potatoes

2018-05-26 13:23:57 UTC

I'll put ketchup on the rice
