2018-07-01 22:27:19 UTC

@Grant , no it doesn't

2018-07-01 22:27:33 UTC

2018-07-01 22:27:33 UTC

2018-07-01 22:27:42 UTC

2018-07-01 22:27:54 UTC

@Grant, ah ok. WHo did?

2018-07-01 22:27:57 UTC

Grant, you do not consider people not being able to afford schooling, medical care as "not failing"?

2018-07-01 22:27:57 UTC
2018-07-01 22:27:59 UTC

I'm not saying to get rid of the state, just that you don't need it to help people , and it sucks at helping people

2018-07-01 22:28:15 UTC

Capitalism is good in theory but it can become corrupted like most forms of socialism, and capitalism as it exists is being corrupted. It's not monolithic. Capitalism is definitely better in terms of freedoms and your money goes further.

2018-07-01 22:28:28 UTC

@Deleted User, the state is like a calculator; garbage in garbage out

2018-07-01 22:28:33 UTC

If you're earning minimum wage in the united states, you can afford schooling and medical care

2018-07-01 22:28:35 UTC

A lot of people could be succesfull if given basic schooling and opportunities in life.

2018-07-01 22:28:52 UTC

Not public or private unis, but colleges

2018-07-01 22:28:53 UTC

"Minium wage" is capitalism?

2018-07-01 22:28:58 UTC

No

2018-07-01 22:29:00 UTC

No

2018-07-01 22:29:00 UTC

basic schooling <:think_woke:378717098681171988>

2018-07-01 22:29:06 UTC

Minimum wage is socialism

2018-07-01 22:29:08 UTC

You cannot earn enough at minimum wage for shelter, food, healthcare, and schooling.

2018-07-01 22:29:12 UTC

Any economic system used by humans will get exploited

2018-07-01 22:29:12 UTC

you mean working in a factory

2018-07-01 22:29:17 UTC

@Omsomething, agreed. ANd no. Minimum wage is not capitalism; neither is Federal Banking

2018-07-01 22:29:18 UTC

yes

2018-07-01 22:29:19 UTC

bring back child labor

2018-07-01 22:29:21 UTC

You'd need two jobs, at least, full-time.

2018-07-01 22:29:23 UTC

No, minimum wage is an intervention in the market. It's neither socialism nor capitalism

2018-07-01 22:29:41 UTC

What is labpr

2018-07-01 22:29:45 UTC

@Omsomething, we haven't had capitalism in over 50 yrs

2018-07-01 22:29:49 UTC

your mother gay

2018-07-01 22:29:56 UTC

This is the point a lot of people are talking about "socialism bad!" and then stating "people can get education with their minium wage!"

2018-07-01 22:29:58 UTC

Although I am an advocate of not allowing inheritance

2018-07-01 22:29:59 UTC

capatalism has bright more people out of poverty than any other system

2018-07-01 22:30:00 UTC

Sheesh

2018-07-01 22:30:01 UTC
2018-07-01 22:30:14 UTC

The United States doesn't have capitalism? What are you talking about? The US is ranked 15th of over 200 nations in economic freedom

2018-07-01 22:30:19 UTC

It has capitalism

2018-07-01 22:30:24 UTC

I saw that @Deleted User

2018-07-01 22:30:38 UTC

@LotheronPrime, true; but even the best system could stand some improvement overtime

2018-07-01 22:30:42 UTC

It has capitalist systems, yes. Currently, however, there are problems that have arisen.

2018-07-01 22:30:43 UTC

The US is nominally capitalistic, but not entirely so. There are interventions in the free market
