If they only knew
@Procella Eques What did you did? Speaks in favor of standards of any kind, in any context?
Chances are they will run with the nationalist label for awhile trying to connect that with Trump's bigoted following.
@CarletonJ We can only hope... 😏
Mentioned NPCs and pointed out the white genocide in South Africa
@Procella Eques used to happen to me all the time. Then I deactivated. People have a harder time calling you random names irl.
@Procella Eques Yeah, that'll do it. Shouldn't be that way, obviously, but it is what it is...
White genocide is a white supremacist conspiracy theory
Obviously
I'm still on the fence about the term. I mean , according to the UN's own definition, it does qualify as a genocide, but it doesn't jive with the cattle car-laden images that have been seeded in people's minds by Hollywood.
White dispossession is far easier to defend in an elevator.
It's hard to argue genocide with NPCs. Easier to argue replacement.
Which you can get them to agree and notice - but then they ask "why is that so bad."
And things get tricky
Then you have to target what they care about.
Especially if they're universalistic in their delusions, and, rather than simply applying a double standard just to White people, they actually believe that *no* people has legitimate collective interests or territorial rights.
I would assume they are already egalitarian and even cosmopolitan for sure
I s'pose you could still come in from a disparate impact angle, though, citing the fact that it's only White peoples that are *actually* impacted by these policies.
Sadly, even if you prove that, I've had more people ask why that's such a bad thing (less white people).
I've found you must target what they deeply care about. If they care about the environment/animals its as simple as asking what other race of people have put in place laws and protections for our environment?
Yeah. The insanity knows no end. An important point to remember though, is that, except in cases like the Facebook scenario above, you aren't actually trying to convince the ideologues by arguing with them, but rather, the bystanders.
@FACINEMA has some great physiological debate points as well. You plant a seed in their mind and let it grow.
@Bjorn - MD exactly right. That's important.
Plant the seeds. No one wants to be told what to believe
I really need to work on my debate game. It's definitely not one of my strong points. I feel like we should have regular workshops among our local meetups, kinda like a BASTE Toastmasters.
The literature club and I are going to try and complete a debate club this winter.
Yea and they always bring up the point "well it was their land before Europeans invaded"
But with me buying a house and getting married, it's hard to find the time.
land was bought for at least 15% of it was
at the time of settlement
@CarletonJ That'd be cool. Yeah, I was really diggin' the book club, briefly, but I ended up ducking out due to time constraints, but I may make my way back in there.
I'm pretty sure most of it was purchased though
I agree w practicing our debate skills at meetups. I get too emotionally involved in discussions on these topics, and that’s an easy way to lose someone on the other side of the fence
@Bjorn - MD we learned a ton from our first year. We're going to focus on having smaller sized books to allow people to catch up and read easier. We found most members are just too busy to have what is essentially another homework assignment.
Cool, cool. I do envy the fact that you guys made it through CoC, though.
@Procella Eques I've been kicked off multiple Asatru Faceberg pages for mentioning South Africa...and that was over 2 years ago. I can't imagine how triggered those Wiccatru types are over anything pro-white these days...
Coc proved to be an atrocious read. It was a considerably blackpilling experience.
@Asatru Artist - MD Yeah, if you ever watch Carolyn Emerick's stuff, she'll periodically go into her hit-and-run battles with the Troth. It's kind of hard listening to her streams, lately, though, because as uncannily soothing as her voice can be, it's grating listening to her frequently spiral into anti-"Dolt Right" monologues...
The Troth are Universalist garbage...
Agreed.
It's all the more frustrating, because she never really fully fleshes out whom she's referring to by using said epithet. Sometimes, it sounds like she's going on about wignats, and I can obviously get on board there. Other times, she alludes to the excesses of the Thot Wars, and I'm willing to hear her out on that, too, but other times, I wonder if she isn't just peddling the fallacy of Pagan gender egalitarianism...
