I liken the after effect to ADD plus. Because a lot of the same symptoms, but add memory issues and headaches. But meds dont work on the first two. Its a matter of training and opening new pathways.

Do you still hold memory issues or have you regained your memory?

I've read studies on people with Alzheimer's actually regaining theirs so I know it's possible

I have a little back. I will never get my eidectic memory back. But over the last say 4 years i got a little of my short term back.

Atta be! Why won't you get your eidectic back? Too much physical damage?

Basically. The neurologist said that in about 90% of cases photographic and eidectic memories are lost with the severity of mTBI i had.

I used to be the kid who could pretty much sleep during a lecture and retain it.

I can still learn, it just takes more effort because I have to push it into long term memory to keep it for good.

Hence more note taking and such

Well atleast in that case if you learn to master the method required to do so best for yourself; you'll retain more information on specific things you desire to learn
