You can get like £12 an hour for an entry level care position where I live.
VS the £10 an hour I make from managing a retail store. Yeah, that's fair!
@M4Gunner around here it is common sense that the waiters and the cooks split the tip after the shift
and those who don't? Fired
because nobody wants to work with a asshole
I mean we usually don't tip
but as with anywhere
if the service is good
you give a substantial amount
Yup, I've been there. Owner taking tips for themselves because they 'already pay you a wage'
see that's why you need unions
unions are corrupt af
that's the problem with your part of the world
it's not corrupt or filled with reds here
"that's like just totally your problem"
don't care faggot
they mostly just sit on their hands and collect the fee
and when shit happens
they fucking love it
you don't pay in that case
I dunno... A union I was with managed to change my case from being fired to being given 2 months wages and a good reference.
^
that's definately better than being workless tho
I could easily get a job if I had 2 months to get one
unions keep trash
My firing was basically down to the manager not liking me. She blocked my promotion 3 times even though I was formally training for it. I proved her bias against me and ended up walking away with a few grand
they keep trashy owners of companies out too
that's the point imo
don't get me wrong, quotas and stuff, still bad
but that's no single unions fault
fuck you women
but muh union still gud
Hey, I never said the union was good. Only that they helped me out of a shitty situation.
the unions around here do 1,49% increase per yer
that's by rule of the union
You take the good, you take the bad and you get the facts of life.
usually you get closer to 10% each year
who do any work if you're just gonna get paid anyway>
after a year at a job, you should be a skilled labourer
