I could see it was toxic from the get-go.
Pride in US isnt just a festivale-ish thing? Where people sell stuff and play music? Maybe have a parade with people with flags?
Remember the good ol days in the 1800s, when homosexuality was on a don't ask don't tell policy, agreed upon by everyone?
It's super-gay virtue signalling, @MountainMan
We had a gay president lol
@Maw oOF
I'm gay but keep your fucking clothes on, there are only two genders so pick one, and I would never ask for special privileges for my sexuality, only equal treatment
You get equal treatment if you don't like... go around telling people that don't need to know that you're gay.
That's... always been the way I've seen it.
question to yall americans
"Who, that guy? Yeah, he's a bit strange and has a male room mate. But he's alright."
As long as I'm not in fear of being thrown off a rooftop for my sexuality, I'm fine.
is homophobia rampant in some communities?
I'm not out to make people uncomfortable.
hmm
thats it?
Well, look at the Top Gear episode where the gang drive through Alabama
People naturally fear those who are different, especially when there's religion involved
I can guarantee you though, talking about being gay does make people uncomfortable.
Military is alright with gay people. Just don't be effeminate
Yea.
Twinks and the like in the gay community.
@Maw I don't tell anyone I'm gay unless I know them pretty well, none of my co-workers know
It should be, and likely will be.
there is massive homoeroticism in the military though
You'd be dumb to tell your battalion you're gay.
at least from what ive heard
wat
Gay men are generally more effeminate that I won't deny, it's probably to do with the way horomones affect your end sexual preference
If they don't know you're gay, you're doing it right and they won't mind
I... don't think horomones have changed for me.
I have a higher pitch voice than you would expect from looking at me, but I'm not obvious
I don't want trans people in transition and in HRT in the military. You know if you've talked to HRT patients that the majority of the time they're mentally unstable. It's not the same when you just like dudes.
trans people in teh army were actually getting SRS paid for by the army
by taking a desk job
then leaving
Yeah, from my experience, the military will never accept trannies
a massive percentage were doing that
HRT is really brutal on your mental stability.
