the difference is staggering

2018-09-17 18:32:57 UTC

@franti the bankruptcy is a myth. At very least before obamacare. We used to have great insurance and what was called catestrophic insurance for pennies.

2018-09-17 18:33:05 UTC

you know you could just have both private and public insurance <:thronk:441701565607444482>

2018-09-17 18:33:17 UTC

@M4Gunner even with that, it's not 250 / 20 mins

2018-09-17 18:33:26 UTC

it's massively overblown

2018-09-17 18:33:44 UTC

They do that in canada and it doesnt work well

2018-09-17 18:33:45 UTC

@franti and also wrong most insurance operates as non profit or not for profit limiting profit to 3% or less

2018-09-17 18:33:55 UTC

well, you can't because the supplies in question are regulated

2018-09-17 18:34:00 UTC

same with medication

2018-09-17 18:34:06 UTC

you can't exactly treat yourself

2018-09-17 18:34:11 UTC

2018-09-17 18:34:54 UTC

2018-09-17 18:34:55 UTC

Nothing to see here

2018-09-17 18:36:47 UTC

@franti bankruptcy for medical bills is a myth. Most providers write off most their cost per insurance agreements, and whats left they tend to discount or payment plan, or write off even more.

If anything high provider costs are to fleece yhe gov and insurances

2018-09-17 18:36:49 UTC

the thing about ACA was that it turned out americans that werent covered were less healthy than thought
and the broken to hell program the repubs modified it into couldnt handle the stress
