As a Guinean and not a “black”
@Deleted User That is very racially steriotyped mate
rather we know it as history, or at least western history
"I’m Guinean first not black"
weren't you born in the US?
@Deleted User yeah but didn't you go on Ancestry or something
And?
I’m a Guinean American
Or a maninka American
@Deleted User By "White-people" you mean Americans, right?
To be specific
how 'bout just American
Okay so scratch black American entirely
why not just American?
<:pepe_why:378719408367075333>
American to describe people from the place known as the USofA
calling eachother "White people" and "Black people" is a culturally American phenominon today
@Deleted User let me ask again, did you find out that you're Guinean through ancestry, or did your family just know that
Actually, when I went to Africa my family called me a nigga and all sorts of racially fucked up words because I adapted to the “black American” culture so much
They literally dissociate themselves from blacks in America
yes they do
My dad was born there
Objectively so
Parents are immigrants
@Deleted User most African Americans don't have that
ancestors came over on slave ships
so they don't have a clue
Most african Americans don’t like being called AFRICAN American
They know nothing about AFRICA
@Deleted User I know, its a way for classification if you're offended by black
Nah, I’m not offended by it
it's fascinating to learn about ones ancestry, about history in general, there's a lot to learn and take from it, along with a sense of appreciation for how the world got to be the way it is and where it comes from. but generalizing about racial groups is just plain idiotic in the context of attaching it to a political ideology. or a generalization that refers to what an entire race knows or doesn't know, how it behaves or doesn't behave. that stuff is a complete load of twaddle.
or you could be from Alabama and just say
NIGGER
It’s just something I spoke about with my cousin, who’s a white South African and in my family we never call one another black or white
smoke
We’re all just African
Spoke*
I don’t smoke
are black americans african? kaden
