To my mind the west is mostly fine and stable in terms of political systems. The problems are more cultural. Decline of the family, communities breaking down, social media addiction, failing to confront serious cultural threats like political and religious extremism. A culture of lies and contempt for the public in the media, postmodernist claptrap in universities, bloody feminism and cultural Marxism in general. Last thing we need is a complete political revolution to endorse mad shit like communism, fascism or anarchism. Bollocks to that rot.

There's an element of laziness involved but I think it's more about attention being focused elsewhere. On family life, relationships, work, leisure etc. Paying more attention to those things an less on what's happening in the big picture, which they, I'm assuming, don't believe they can do anything about anyway.
