i got in uni (in uk) in 2008, just a few years before the changes to student loans, most kids now have to pay 2-3 times what i did
so i imagine far less are going here too
i do hope that works out for them, starting a business is hard, and risky
and its gonna be harder when article 13 comes in i suspect
I know one Gen Z that was not able to find a job for like 6 months. so he just go fuck it and starts his own welding company now his order book is 6 month long

yeah I wish I'd learned a trade instead of going to university rip
yea. even the basic math backs up learning a trade is the thing now if you not burning for something that demands a uni education

finished school "idk what to do I like programming guess I'll do that at college" and then yeah towards the end of college they were pushing me to continue on to uni
half of the people I know dont work anywhere close to what they did go to school for
I did computer science and an now an IT technician
same field but different line of work
I have entertained the idea of becoming a comp sci teacher though
might be good for at least one teacher to not be a progressive sheep 😛
