anyway, i think it's because the archbishop character is presented as a sort of over the top villain (because he murders Drac's GF via catholic inquisition and then encourages the townsfolk not to listen to Drac's warning about how they're all going to die in a year; even though catholicism didn't rule Wallachia; nevermind that this is Wallachia in the 1470s, which is like near contemporary to Drac being mortal and the ottoman invasion, but nevermind all that)

and then he's trying to calm the townfolk, only to get them slaughtered

and then they show children getting slaughtered too as if to say "oops, looks like those children shouldn't have listened to the archbishop either!"

which just seems a bit heartless, like there's no clear indication of who to root for

1.) it’s immoral
2.) humanity operates on such a fast timeline mimetically that evolution will be made obsolete
3.) genetic modification and neural augmentation mean there is no need
4.) over time the free market (what little of it remains) will make genetic modification affordable to every population group just like a smart phone, so even someone with an iq of 87 could have a child with atleast an iq of 100 if not more
