Those guys are crazy. They've often lost a limb or something during extreme sport events and still continue to do it afterwards.

In a way, you get sponsorships way easily after you've been severely injured.

For example, Albert Llovera was a rather mediocre alpine skier, just barely getting enough money to compete at international competitions. He crashed while training and became paralyzed... and now he has done shit like racing the whole WRC, racing the Dakar Rally in cars and even trucks... and he has never had a good result in motorsports!

If I ever fuck myself that badly I'm definitely aiming to something like that, people just throw money at you because you appear on TV even if you suck.
