Yep, similar relationship with my brother actually
I have an estranged friend, we've each made attempts to rebuild the bridge and been rejected over the years.
^ only child
He's just so toxic. I wish I could help him.
I’ve tried as well. Really to no avail. Based on what I heard, he’s not doing terrible in any event
I really don't know anything about how my brother is doing right now. But he doesn't have any skills and quits jobs so probably not great.
How so, if you don't mind me asking? @Uberduperdrew
Sorry to drop in
My brother is indecisive as well.
Which part JD?
How is he toxic?
Let me give you an example. I once tried to help him get money form the state. One of those unclaimed property things. I didn't have a printer so I had to email the forms to FedEx office to print out, get them, meet up with him and mail them in for him..
Well about a week after I started the process , he starts text curing at me for.takig so long. Insists I am playing games with him because he saw my car drive by him (I was a full time Uber driver)
I explained I was heading somewhere but would stop by after that but he keeps insisting I'm playing games with him. Then he starts threatening me. So I go to the place where he claims to be living to confront him (oh you're going to kick my ass? Fine be right there). And he never comes out and starts texting me again talking trash..
Had to block his number.
Shit, that’s terrible
And he's a real piece of work. Has been abusing to several women and gotten some of them fired.
That's terrible. I'm so sorry.
Sorry to hear it Drew.
He definitely is the "bite the hand that feeds him" type.
So... what kind of ice cream are you a fan of @Uberduperdrew ?
99 flake or the creme egg mcflurry/ice cream lolly are nice
Thats sounds really good.
I always liked cookie dough myself
I quite like choc mint, but I keep away from Chocolate now as its addictive and (I hear) fairly high in lead content.
Wait what, chocolate ice cream contains lead? 0_o
I'm not a particular fan of chocolate ice cream anyway but ehh, isn't something like that illegal
chocolate naturally contains a higher than average amount of lead as a natural process
but if not handled properly it can be a health concern
Mmm
The FDA says dark chocolate has higher amounts compared to milk chocolate
What exactly constitutes improper handling though
Excessive consumption? Sorry if it says in the link
well the 'settlement' is just an agreement to do a thorough study of WHY chocolate has a high lead content
and its possible health effects and potential ways to mitigate the levels
so... work in progress
its not a new development, chocolate has ALWAYS been this way
so its not like there are sudden cases of lead poisoning popping up because of excessive chocolate consumption
Yea tbh, it does seem like a fuss being kicked up about what is largely nothing
eating excessive amounts of dark chocolate has more severe health concerns than lead poisoning, so I suppose its always been too secondary to matter
