Honestly it sounds like the majority religion in your area is having more of a negative impact on men's issues that anything else. @Deleted User
@Indigo hey! how've you been?
Hello @Deleted User and @Alivia1744 .
@Deleted User Is it in the Koran that things have to be that way? I ask because I've heard several Muslim countries in the 1950s were a lot like America. Iran is one, I think.
Hello @Sydnie1847 and @Elena868 ! How are you doing today?
Oh and hello to @chickaboom too. How ar you?
good good whats up?
Just getting back from work. How about you?
same
anybody done a reading group here yet?
@chickaboom hey, what do you mean by reading group? like a book club?
@blueorange22 yeah!
no, but that could be an interesting idea
i wish there was more modern MRA literature
I think everyone needs to start with the basics
I see a lot of hot takes, and a lot of inconsistency
and you mean within the MRM?
so newcomers don't seem to know what exactly we're talking about
yeah
what are some examples?
idk, like the Men's Rights sub is the most popular outlet, but it's very freeform
only a few people use facts to back up their arguments or kow where to get those facts
thats not true at all
in fact i'd say the opposite is true, the sub has some of the better quality discussions i come across, and i see lots of sources and links
whats your reddit username?
i don't feel comfortable sharing that. y do u need it?
do you post at MR? it's weird that you would have a problem sharing on the MR discord if that was the case
and can you give examples of people not using facts to back up arguments"
i do, i just started learning how to use discord
ok
i'm not saying they don't
I just think people coming in new don't have an easy way to look at all the facts
and so when they look at discussions, they just instantly think it's misogyny
b/c they don't know where we're coming from
there's a decent link on the sidebar, here
