Thank you
@nootoo No worries. We have some support channels that should help with both. :)
Hello @Osashta! You might find some friends on here, actually. I won't out them, but we do have one or two trans members who pop in from time to time. If you are up for it, we'd be very interested to hear about how you find it now you have transitioned and if the world treats you differently?
Hello @fallen7!
Lot of new people today.
Hey there everyone! Happy to know there's an alternative to Reddit group
@fallen7 How are you doing? I just allowed you in. :)
Thanks @Men Are Human !
I'm doing quite well thank you! Hope you're doing well as well.
I am. :) It's been a pretty good day, dispite the rain.
Nice! Just stopped raining at my end.
I think I know where yours went. XD mine just got twice as bad.
Lol.
Maybe you could send it back here?
Just a bit will do
@Men Are Human That's good to hear, and yes, I'm most certainly up for it! I have the good fortune of being 'passable', and I also moved to a new city in a new state so I'm far away from anyone who knew me before. The majority of people I interact with these days have no idea i'm trans unless I find the need to tell them, and I usually don't, so I think my experiences have been similar to the average woman for the past 3 years or so.
The biggest difference I've noticed has been first impressions. Particularly from women. They're not afraid of me anymore for one thing. They'll smile, and are much more likely to initiate conversation, and my personal favorite, they don't assume I'm creepily hitting on them every conversation, so that's nice. Work, too, is easier. I don't have a very hard job to begin with, but my boss nowdays is a very chivalrous sort and actively goes out of his way to do any heavy lifting for me, which is pretty nice to be honest. I've never had a boss lift a finger to help me pre transition. Not without chewing me out first.
On the topic of chivalrous behavior. Actually having people attempt to flirt with me in bars and other locations is quite a nice change of pace. I used to be the kid people thought was going to shoot up the school. I never ever got compliments from people. For my looks or otherwise. It's so refreshing to have people actually willing to approach. and engage with me. I have a longstanding relationship that's looking like it'll lead to marriage so I'm not ever looking to be reciprocal, but my god, the positive attention is nice when you grew up starved of it.
@fallen7 It just stopped, so I think it's on its way. Lol
Hi
yo
@Osashta That's really interesting. Would you be willing to do a price on it for the site, or let me quote you?
Hey @nxghow are you doing?
Sick at the moment, so could be better, other than not to bad.
@Men Are Human sure, you can quote me, and there's definitely plenty more I could say
Oh, that's a shame @nxg. What's your avatar of, btw?
Character in World of Warcraft
@Osashta Thanks a lot! If you want to send it to me, that would be really helpful.
Looking forward to it. Rain is almost always welcome as long as it's moderate
@nxg oh right. I don't play, so I wouldn't know.
Thanks for sharing the insight Olivia
@fallen7 That's good at least, lol.
It was quite interesting. Wish you the best in your life!
