oh you mean the RVF?
the big RVF meetup?
I think the effects of that on the manosphere were overstated
one of the bloggers who quit after the meetup did so because he was doxed
though I'm friends with one of the guys who went and he said it was very, very autistic
@mattforney agreed the manosphere was tiny to be honest and it really only got big when MGTOW invaded it
ROK had also been in the works prior to the meetup
Roosh had shared it with me and a few other guys the month prior
I meant years before. The Meetup had relatively little efect. MGTOW was part of the Manosphere in the first place. What pumped up the numbers was /r9k/ invading it.
Fascinating that Roosh got very lucky with RoK.
Ahhh
Another fun fact: Gamergate mold those two parts of the Internet even more.
Agreed
i was just about to ask if terrorized house was a real alt, followed
it's the one and only
it used to be our "intern's" personal account
but he "donated" it to us, graciously
My Youtube Account was banned for commenting about weapons ona Right to Bryden Gaming stream. Great Algorithm Youtube, can't tell the difference between a gaming stream and another type. How are they going to control the world with this shotty level fo programming?
WTF?
that's crazy
Of all the stupid shit I have said on youtube me jokeing about him useing a hammer in a game where you could not use the hammer as a weapon, that THAT is what gets me suspended.
Wow
What a crock of bullshit. Now I am really glad that I flew under the radar with that crummy Gnusocial thing (nowadays Pleroma)
Now all I have to watch is Alex Jones on Bitchute, guess I will be Breaking the Conditioning AHHHHH! From now on.
@Zixis I think that's why PewDiePie created a DLive. He's sensed that YouTube will screw him over once TSeries takes the top spot.
Dlive is probably going to end up like name 1 of the ten previous "Youtube Compedators," yeah I like the idea of competition but it is a natural Monopoly, everyone goes to the thing everyone is is useing. The internet in soem respect is under market forces and on others is not such as at that level.
Facebook and Twitter can go but Video Shareing is a lot more intensive then simply Text storage and chat functions like those are.
DLive uses blockchain technology to keep down costs
So it is competeing with BitChute on that then? I would love there to be a way to get off of Youtube, I hate Google it is an evil corporation.
One of the ways I think it would happen is if Pewdiepie put together a Creators union and then set a mass migration over to Dlive or some grand gesture like that. And I mean the Normies like gamers and nerd channels.
PewDiePie has been giving money away to random DLive streamers
he gave Beardson a shoutout over the weekend
a nice incentive to use the platform
I guess I am just way behind the times then man.
Sorry to waste your keystrokes.
I mean, I'm still pessimistic and you have some good points
but no reason not to invest a bit in DLive at the moment
it's got more going for it then, say, Stream.me
Before I make a suggestion I will ask if it is a feature, do they have something like a Pateron type system baked into it already?
they've got the lino system which works like Super Chats, and I think you can also use it Patreon style
