a childhood illness that is survivable that also for some reason helps the body fight off cancer later in life

i do have a theory why it does this ..the measles triggers the lymphatic defense system early to help purge problems out before they become a serious problem and therefore actually prevent cancer which basically is the result of a buildup of toxins in the body that can't be purged unless the body was primed for removing toxins
