but u can't have the Bible spoon feed you, you need to do research urself. there are numbers in the bible, you have more than you know…

2019-08-18 16:43:34 UTC

eventually the wars became over trivial crap or money/territory

2019-08-18 16:44:07 UTC

the way the 6000 year figures was come up with

2019-08-18 16:44:17 UTC

they added all the ages of people mentioned in the bible

2019-08-18 16:44:36 UTC

davey, imho....that number was fudged by an extra zero

2019-08-18 16:44:43 UTC

lol

2019-08-18 16:45:25 UTC

the earth is millions of years old, humans in their current configuration are about 1.5 million years old

2019-08-18 16:45:32 UTC

the 'dark ages' ...imo...was when their world was dark and bleak...not our world

2019-08-18 16:46:21 UTC

@Thoutzan @DaveyJones Yes with the Bible, some people have been able to date approximately the age of Humanity

2019-08-18 16:46:24 UTC

been thru many ages of advancement ...only to be basically 'blasted back to the stone age' a few times

2019-08-18 16:46:51 UTC

lol the bible itself is older then 6000 years

2019-08-18 16:47:02 UTC

the stories in it that is

2019-08-18 16:47:08 UTC

rex, bible gets rewritten a few times...history is questionable even with the bible

2019-08-18 16:47:34 UTC

i used to ponder thru old greek fables and such

2019-08-18 16:48:13 UTC

makes one wonder about 'divine wisdom' in even bleak ages

2019-08-18 16:48:23 UTC

imo the bible was intended to convey ideas, not serve as a factual reference doc

2019-08-18 16:48:37 UTC

divine wisdom?

2019-08-18 16:48:45 UTC

@SirW00f Of course, you do not have everything in the Bible, just because God's history can't be confined inside a book. But the Bible remains the main support to start to learn about who is God and what He expects from us here, on Earth

2019-08-18 16:52:21 UTC

one does not need proof of god for all of existence is a proof of god

2019-08-18 16:52:37 UTC

you can't prove that 😛

2019-08-18 16:53:58 UTC

we're not god til we can make whole universes ..virtual gaming environments don't count as 'god like' behavior

2019-08-18 17:00:09 UTC

well the bible states that we are god's children

2019-08-18 17:00:33 UTC

so then he would have had to create humans out of fragments of himself

2019-08-18 17:01:01 UTC

which is the only concept of god that makes any real sense to me

2019-08-18 17:01:49 UTC

@DaveyJones Yes, but only from the moment that you believe in Him, otherwise you're just a God's creature

2019-08-18 17:02:28 UTC

lol belief is irrelevant in this model

2019-08-18 17:03:30 UTC

if you work out the logic to it's end you end up with a universe with a god that would be utterly identical to the same universe without agod

2019-08-18 17:06:01 UTC

@DaveyJones Without God, none creation will exist : univers shall not exist, you and i shall not exist either

2019-08-18 17:06:11 UTC

you don't know that

2019-08-18 17:06:12 UTC

belief without god to some is considered logical, but without god logic makes no sense

2019-08-18 17:06:29 UTC

but i don't mean to argue the existence of god, just illustrating where i stand

2019-08-18 17:06:53 UTC

imo belief and knowledge are mutually exclusive

2019-08-18 17:07:00 UTC

one does not leave room for the other

2019-08-18 17:08:51 UTC

faith in research into making things happen or change infront of u is basis for rational thinking and observational behavior, u cannot setup the tenants of logical thinking without belief

2019-08-18 17:09:14 UTC

and only can belief happen via observational theory which is logical

2019-08-18 17:09:22 UTC

you don't need faith to come up with an experiment or carry it out

2019-08-18 17:09:37 UTC

you confuse belief with curiosity

2019-08-18 17:09:58 UTC

faith is = "i hope this works, i hope this works"
