iv considered canal barge here in the uk however they are pretty damn expensive and while the concept of sailing down the canal system is lovely the maintenance is not so lovely

maybe at sea but on the canal waterways you have to have a licence renewed yearly not terrible but if you moor up then your liable to get checked at some point
