sure they had them early 19th century
slavery was still unofficially going on in a lot of colonies
idk about that but ill assume youre right. but its trade was largely eliminated after 1840s
the economic worth of slaves were diminishing anyways
Even then the only place to have slight economic worth would be India
But none of the oceanias were that wealthy
And wasnt the colonization of america like in 1490s
India, China, North America, Carribbean, South America were all profitable.
now look who was colonised first.
1600s-1700s was the golden age of colonization
So were looking at the entire history of capitilalism?
I believe you could see why thatd be a bit skewed
Comparing all deaths to the long lasting capitalism to the relatively new idea of socialism is a bit unfair
well yes, it's the same argument anti communists use
I think claiming a system killed 100 million people on no clear evidence is a little unfair
which is common
No
It was 60 million, the commonly accepted number
Im saying that since capitalism has been around longer so itd only make sense that itd kill so many
its important to note here all the numbers used are the bare minimum
conservative death tolls
Im talking about the time frame
Not the deaths themselves
you put capitalism midway through the race while you've only just started with socialism
Its a bit unfair to compare the hundreds of years that capitalism has exist to the very very new idea of socialism
socialism has existed since the early 1800s
the earliest my chart goes is late 1600s as far as I know
that gives it 100 year headstart?
I don't see a huge gap here
the type of socialism that people are trying to get
Like the soviet unions style of socialism
Marxism was scientific socialism that no country fully adopted
until 1900s
Yes socialism has existed since 1830 at the earliest as far as I know. although socialist societies existed since the 1100s.
they just didnt know what socialism was
they followed it
No country adopted Marxism sure there were people who thought of its ideas but no country took part in managing themselves like that
no, that's only one form of socialism though
groups have used some socialist forms since the beginning of history
Socialism in broad
the first socialist party was elected in 1899
