My assumption... and I say this as a psychology person and an observer who has seen it a lot... It's the same reason some dudes are into futa.

You get two chicks (which generally, is a big thing with certain dudes) while also having certain sexual abilities. These women are into men, so double the men, double the being into it, but, being women, they're still interested in the relationship and family-building side. Whereas men get off less on the emotional/family building side so that's not usually built into lesbian/futa situations.
