They weren't banned. They used Amazon's web services and got shutdown by them. And Apple and Google deleted their app in the webstore. Gab on the other hand, was high IQ and made their own servers and platform.

Not gonna lie, if this media censorship has gotten to the point that discord is affected, it’s not good. It reminds me of communism and fascism. Even if the select few of conservatives are acting whack, disabling entire platforms and de-platforming people on “risk” is just horrible.
