Ok... so then clearly you either do not know or you are ignoring Trump's admitted use of SLAPP suits just to harass people.
We do not need a media that is so scared to report the news because they will be tied up in legislation forever - particularly when its clear the lawsuit is just a SLAPP suit....
The laws are fine now. Look at Fox and NewsMax they were forced to air their retractions related to them lying about the existence of Election Fraud.
So the media can absolutely be sued now... It doesn't need to be made easier

As to succeeding.... it was not my goal to convince you. I simply answered your question of what Trump has done that I felt was dictator-like.
There isn't much of a chance I am going to convince any Trump Supporter to drop his support at this point.
Lots of people who supported him in 2016 didn't vote for him in 2020. Lots of people who voted for him and still supported him in 2020 are now withdrawing their support because of how he handled the January 6th debacle.
If you are still in the group that lends your support to Trump then there is NOTHING I could ever say to get you to reverse course... not at this point.

That is the quote. Even if I provide the evidence you ask for you will still not believe my premise. So why in the world would I waste my time?

What is very clear to me is that nothing I can do or say is going to get a person still supporting Trump to end that support after his actions and words on 1/6/21 and everything he has done leading up to that point to change their position. As such, its not a goal of mine...

They don’t actually care whether he incited violence or not. Truth is not the goal. Everything is looked at from the perspective of whether it can be used against Trump. If an argument seems even remotely plausible it becomes true until it’s not useful anymore.
@JD~Jordan I've had a pretty long talk here with people yesterday about whether trump's words on 1/6/21 make him responsible for the doing of radicals. Regardless, it was the wrong move, it is perceived as a call to violence and it is very stupid politically.
The problem is the left is not handling it well, stating that trump is a dictator and his supporters are dictator supporters, cancel culture etc' then you definitely won't change anyone's mind. For 4 years I've been preparing from trump to pass these racist laws and start wars and I haven't seen it... so I really don't believe he's going to get martial law or some crazy dictator like thing like that

To say he didn't handle it well is the understatement of the decade, IMO. I have outlined to you a few of the reasons that I believe Trump acted more like a dictator than an elected official.
You have made it clear that you disagree. That is perfectly fine, you are not alone. But, neither am I in my position that he acted like a dictator, broke laws left and right, rewarded those who chose loyalty to him over loyalty to the country and attacked those that chose loyalty to the country over Trump.
My point if very simply this :
At this late stage in the ballgame I am not so delusional to believe that I can convince a Trump Supporter that they have been duped.
If a person's support of Trump has remained intact from calling Mexicans rapist, to family separation at the border.
From kids dying in cages to him violating the Emoluments Clause.
From his racist tendencies to his botched CoVid Response.
From circumventing Congress to start building the wall to his attack on War Heroes like McCain.
From asking Ukraine to interfere in our election to pulling out of the Paris Accord.
From inviting the Taliban to Camp David to giving Turkey a green light to invade Syria and attack our Kurdish allies.
From pardoning War Criminals to inciting an insurgence at the Capitol in an attempt to halt the peaceful transfer of power.....
.....then there is really nothing I could possible say to now convince a person that their support should finally, at long last be revoked.

Its not a strawman. I too oppose illegal immigration. I opposed it back when Obama was called the "deporter in chief" - He actually presided over more deportations in his first 3 years than did Trump.
Its not that I am for open borders, Im not. I am not for illegal immigration. My problem was with the manner in which Trump executed the policy.
