Its not his policy conservatives are particularly attracted to, its the fact that he's not one of "them".
Bear with me for a moment. That’s because no matter what Trump does, the only other option is a Democrat, which is the polar opposite of everything people on the right stand for and support.
And that he fights like hell
Problem is there is a significant chunk of people that are engaged in Trumpism, rather than conservatism. If you want some healthy criticism, Trump has been overall bad for core conservatives.
