Very curious if any of those National Guard troops actually have ammo. I spent countless hours on guard duty without even an empty magazine to at least give the impression of being armed.

Reality is they can't trust to give them ammo in most cases. Not because they don't inherently trust the troops in general, but because they can't afford to have one of them have negligent discharge of a weapon or even worse let their emotions run high and shoot a citizen.

If I'm right about them not having ammo, then this is all one big puppet show.

I'm not even sure I'd characterize it as a show of force. Seems more like an overreaction that will feed into the narrative that is being pushed to be afraid of conservatives based on (again) maybe 100 or so bad actors, already openly denounced by every sane person, in stark contrast to the countless days of riots, looting, violence, occupations of entire city blocks, fires, assaults on police, etc., over the summer. When you control the media, you control the propaganda machine.

In Zeducation's last video, he has a long clip from I think CNN if I remember right showing the unrest of democrats after Trump was sworn in. Interestingly enough, those same fences were erected then, but not sure if for the same reasons.

In the long run, fighting fire with fire isn't a good solution. If we're to do something like that we #1 need to take back everything that was stolen from us (election, media, etc.) and then #2 show the dems how fucking ridiculous they are. The end goal is laying those policies, tactics and fear mongering to rest. Of course, if the genie's out of the bottle, then yeah, might as well use it to defend ourselves

I am in education and I can say at times I do wonder who we are actually trying to educate in these seminars which we have almost weekly.

I have found that in early elementary the students tend to be more open and accepting by far than students in high schools. I don't have the answers but I do know we struggle at times trying to make the information on kids levels because they are deep and heavy topics.

I am not saying we should not have these discussions. I believe we should but I just don't know when and where and how. It feels weird at times to get the stuff in a curriculum.

It also does feel weird explaining to young kids all these terms. They have questions and it falls on us to explain things that I feel like someone in some office never has to deal with in terms of kids questions, parents questions, etc. They just come up with an idea and expect a one size fits all

I feel for you. I got family in the system now, and obviously lived it. I firmly believe it's one of the most poorly managed institutions in our country. There's no diversity of thought or ideas. Few policies that go beyond knee-jerk. No policies are ever evaluated in depth for cause/effect. The box is checked, the parents are lied to and kept happy. If not, institute more knee-jerking.

she comes to me every day complaining about how she is white, I mean I am all for trying to educate if needed but there comes a point where you go past any “education” and you just have a reason to attack and make people feel bad. Often that repeated action brings notes tension than anything else. You can only be told you are a bad person so many times as you try to prove you are not before you just say screw this and grow resentful.

I am just confused about how we are supposed to get the second dose. So as a teacher I am scheduled to get a vaccination in February. With trumps plan, if I am not mistaken and please correct me if I am, we were guaranteed a second shot Becuase they were only releasing vaccines so you were guaranteed to get the second dose. Biden wants to open the supply and vaccinate everyone. I think everyone should get the vaccine if they want it but not at the risk of people not getting a second dose. Is there a plan to make sure there are two doses for everyone? Is there a plan if they don’t have a second dose? Is there a plan past everyone should get the vaccine ?

Not sure at all tbh. Biden's plan was act like vaccines were never gonna happen before summer 2021 - It's all Trump on that one. I think the current plan will be adhered to as best it can be. It's not perfect.

I've got family involved in the process at the local level. They might fill me in on how well it's going, or not.

That is my dilemma. As. Teacher they aren’t forcing us to take it but they are opening schools and saying “well it’s your choice”. So do you take it Becuase you are in a situation that isn’t always safe or not and take your chances in a place that isn’t always safe
