I want the proof
I needs it
Gotsta have it
That is almost exactly missing the forest for the trees
Not at all
But I get what you are saying
Differing gifts and differing purposes
Yin yang, etc etc ad nauseum
Lol fair enough
we all want the same thing
Just I am willing to accept anything as possible and start from that premise
The world wouldn't get built if philosphers didn't live amongst artisans
See i know some things that are not possible and with that i look for what is
Different ways of sifting
Anything is a large starting space
Word
Because that includes all the spaces where you are fundamentally wrong also
How can you tell if you are wrong wihtout experience
It may be possible that being struck by lighting ten times actually gives you super powers
But noone has been able or willing to try
So what LawWren is getting at, is that the abstract things are just as likely to be correct as any other unfounded claim by the left, and that is an unacceptable subset. But to declare that as the subset you must also consider everything you think is true isn't.
🤓🤓
In a spiritual sense or philosophical?
What's the difference?
I am williung to consider all of the above for what they are, but I will never get there without being willing to start from a premise that it is even possible at all
Otherwise I have already made up my mind
Whether it is 'the stove it hot when I touch it' or 'I can build a rocket to go to mars'
Dont want to offend the deeply religious
But at what point have you come to collected enough truth to narrow down the field you're considering
Peer review and my own collective knowledge
So you believe fundamental truth at the highest level is unknowable
I don't
Therefore there are true things and false things
And it's possible to identify like with like from that position
And Q could be true, but where are the objective revelations, not just the subjective ones was the question.
But then you do have a net, you just aren't being intellectually honest about it. Youhave come to truth and you apply that truth in the consideration of what could be true.
Well I am not a nihilist
But, yes I agree there are false things, insofar as 2+2 will never equal 5
It's the difference between a fishing net and a sieve. Were not as different as you think
I enjoy argumentatively agreeing with people
