same, like i'm so burnt out on school it's hard to focus or be motivated

2021-01-13 03:23:47 UTC

ill play video games at night, and work the farm during the day.

2021-01-13 03:24:01 UTC

Rejecting technology feels so wrong and like it's snubbing the inventors and all the smart people out there but at the same time, I don't need to be good at video games or to be a rocket scientist

2021-01-13 03:24:07 UTC

If my eyes could show my soul, everyone would cry as they see me smile

2021-01-13 03:24:12 UTC

technically a homestead its not large enough to provide for more than us

2021-01-13 03:24:21 UTC

my garbage ass gets kicked back to the lobby everytime i play a game

2021-01-13 03:24:31 UTC

and the rest of the land gets rented out to pay the taxes lol

2021-01-13 03:24:43 UTC

Taxes

2021-01-13 03:24:48 UTC

Everyone's best friend!

2021-01-13 03:24:54 UTC

Tax lol

2021-01-13 03:24:55 UTC

Has anyone actually had any experience homesteading?

2021-01-13 03:25:00 UTC

Taxes are unconstitutional

2021-01-13 03:25:07 UTC

Especially the democrats, they love giving taxes

2021-01-13 03:25:18 UTC

property taxes on 300 acres is a bit much. but by renting out most of it, it covers the taxes and any other bills

2021-01-13 03:25:21 UTC

I have experience with plant farming, and chicken raising and keeping

2021-01-13 03:25:36 UTC

because im not going to actually be able to go totally off grid, i like the internet too much

2021-01-13 03:25:38 UTC

for gaming

2021-01-13 03:25:44 UTC

Not necessarily as full time as homesteading but I know how to get started

2021-01-13 03:25:50 UTC

We fight Britain for less tax then we get a 25% tax after war

2021-01-13 03:26:20 UTC

ive grown enough for us to eat before, and i did have small farm animals as a child, so its not going to be a big deal

2021-01-13 03:26:27 UTC

i think taxes will cripple me when i get a job this year

2021-01-13 03:26:37 UTC

How hard we talking? Like, consumes your life and forces you to work since you were a kid hard or something a lazy adult could learn?

2021-01-13 03:26:46 UTC

also ive got like 25 books on homesteading

2021-01-13 03:26:51 UTC

Oo

2021-01-13 03:27:07 UTC

I'm beginning to consider only using computers at the library as well

2021-01-13 03:27:22 UTC

You: heck yeah I won the lottery 100,000 dollars government: hold up pal

2021-01-13 03:27:25 UTC

Which is dumb since I sunk $500 into my PC recently

2021-01-13 03:27:43 UTC

Virtual machines and VPNs

2021-01-13 03:27:44 UTC

At the same time, money can't make you happy

2021-01-13 03:27:45 UTC

depends. to keep 5 people alive, most of the year we will each have to do a few hours of work a day, but.. its not a huge hassle

2021-01-13 03:28:03 UTC

Enough to legitimately explore the woods?

2021-01-13 03:28:24 UTC

My other big thing is do I have to kill animals or can I survive on eggs and crops?

2021-01-13 03:28:27 UTC

uh, if there are woods. there arent really a lot where im going lol

2021-01-13 03:28:30 UTC

Gosh, I'm a soyboy

2021-01-13 03:28:46 UTC

IDK why but I need woods. No one knows how much I love woods

2021-01-13 03:28:55 UTC

you can survive on eggs. but... you would be better off eating meat as well

2021-01-13 03:29:03 UTC

It depends on how much into homesteading you’d be, some plants need to be checked on and watered twice a day to have a good full harvest, and chickens need to be monitored for the first month or two of their lives as they’re small and need a heat lamp, but once the chickens are grown you just have an enclosure and feed them, change their water once a day and you’re fine, they take care of themselves. The plants usually do fine by themselves as long as you can force yourself to water them at least once every day and fertilize once a week (separate from the once a day watering)

2021-01-13 03:29:03 UTC

Probably

2021-01-13 03:29:10 UTC

Rocky Mountain forest best place

2021-01-13 03:29:33 UTC

No agriculture tho

2021-01-13 03:29:35 UTC

we are doing rabbits, chickens or ducks, not both, and quail. maybe, maybe. also goats
