but it isn't as huge as it's made out to be
Say that again but slowly
Show me where America fought wars overseas in the 1800's.
Spanish-American war?
Especially wars on behalf of other nations.
And you didnt say 1800s originally you said before the 1940s so I think you've realized how wrong you were but are still trying to defend your statement
is that in regards to the officer's death yesterday?
probably
Also made an effort to specify "overseas" the second time
I did specify "foreign wars" the first time, but sure.
Foreign isnt overseas
well the pope got arrested
Mexicos foreign to America, as is Canada
The point is that we should not be engaging in useless wars.
@LinuxDaily source?
Okay, I'll give you the Spanish-American war, but considering I was referring more to Vietnam, the invasion of Iraq, Libya, etc. my point that we shouldn't be messing around in other countries still stands.
How do you define a useless war
give me a min, ill grab a link
what was the goal?
We gotta watch out, the only reason they are impeachment Trump is to stop him from running in 2024, not because he insights violence.
wtf are we going to do. Impeachment is political, not fact based.
i dont think counter impeachments are a thing
We need a new face of the movement, Trump started something, we need a better voice
@Drift the car Shinji watch out for it, e.g. watch the news
Trump can't get out of his own way
if the majority is democrat, it takes only a few weak spined R's to let it go through
didn't some guy send that earlier today
and we all know how spineless they can be
Listen I completely agree with you I fiercely oppose American imperialism but it is a fundamental part of American history, im not sure how you can attack it now whilst not attacking America through the centuries
Because America didn't do what England did and try to take over the entire globe lol
Invading another country under false pretenses of weapons of mass destruction, fighting 10+ years only to gain nothing, funding terrorism only to fight them, and more.
Fair...
There was never a phrase "the sun never sets on the American empire"
Taking the entire globe isnt the definition of imperialism
And quite frankly, had I been alive in the late 1800's, I probably wouldn't have been a huge fan of fighting on behalf of Cuba, but I wasn't, so I don't know for sure.
I wasnt alive throughout history either but I can still say my country was wrong for that
every country has made bad decisions
Agreed
the point is just to acknowledge them and learn from them
