Anxious mourning, disproportionate rage,
Grievance despair, full of lunacy,
Unending languor and woeful life
Full of cries, of anguish and of torment
Sore heart, living obscurely
Dark body about to leave
Are mine, without cease, continually
And thus I cannot heal nor die.
In this world, many men
and women, many children
deaf and hard of hearing are refused
all communication,
strangers amongst their brothers,
hurt by those they love,
may the Lord accompany them
for their eyes and
hands to be signs of reconciliation
