I often point out that a black guy being the first non-white President isn't as "progressive" as they claim. Since I'm neither black or white, I don't see America in such dualistic terms.

I point out that a Native American being the first non-white President would've been way more fair, they would've finally had a chance to rule their own land for the first time in centuries

Plus, any Presidency is a multifaceted, complex thing. It's not as simple as you're either with or against, you're either a nazi or a commie. I can maintain my objectivity to like some things and not others with any President
