What I *clearly* am sceptical about is that a short-term, civil waresque decline/collapse driven by a financial crisis which is due to increased govt spending will happen

I have mentioned freaky, unsustainable (I mentioned that SEVERAL times) instruments like neg intrst rates that are keeping up the system in the EU for now and that will keep up the system for a limited number of years

What happens after? A collapse maybe. Much more likely (as I see it) some other, possibly freaky af monetary instrument/measure whatever that will do the same thing: keep the system up and going for x amount of years

History tells us that a collapse is not avoidable. But when will it come? I do see possible scenarios leading up to a short term collapse but I do not think that they are all too likely
