I would have posted his video but I'm not sure if I have permission.
Thanks. I'll check it out later.
@Five, Seven, and Two sorry was afk for a bit. Not sure, think I'm pretty much smackdab in the middle of downtown San Francisco.
@Ironbard I'd second Shadow's advice for Google (I haven't been there in 6 years), but ocean side wasn't bad. Just don't go over the east bridge. That's Oakland. If you're the wrong color, you'll be going back home in a pine box.
w0t
Could also check out Alcatraz. I'm nervous about telling you to head north over the Golden Gate to the marine center or any of the parks... heard a lot of stories about hobo camps.
As a resident of CA, it’s great to visit. Living here is hell
It’s basically New York with nicer weather
@KenneticEnergy is it as bad as I’ve heard?
It's getting worse
@Deleted User yeah they won’t show you the actual effects of the economic policies here. All the nice touristy areas are sheltered from the slums of places like Oakland and such
But if you visit SF watch out for needles and literal shit on the streets. I kid you not
And zombie-like homeless people
@KenneticEnergy how old are you? When did it start getting like this
CA?
I’m 25 and I’ve lived here my whole life @Deleted User
And, remember, CA is an obligation to flee state.
@KenneticEnergy McCarthy was right!
*oh CA is commiefornia*
When did it start getting like this? Well.. you could say that it was a slow decline that started in the 80s/90s
All the crazy boomers of the 60s and 70s gained political power in CA and worked their way into schools
My entire education here has been nothing but propaganda
@KenneticEnergy FFS!
I used to love America growing up (I’m from the UK) but I must admit I fell victim to the propaganda even here. I would still move there even if the collapse is coming
I was lucky that I avoided the worst of it.
You have two classes here @Deleted User the people who are hella rich and own plantation wineries (cause they use illegals as slaves basically)
And the poor/barely getting by, who can barely afford rent and food. If that
Most of the poor have decided to say “fuck it” and just live on the street tbh
@KenneticEnergy the weathers nice enough for it I suppose
It is.
Like I’m not kidding @Deleted User where I grew up, you had mansions flanked by like.. tiny shack houses from the 60s in neighborhoods right near each other
And that's a big problem.
The difference in wealth was insane
Fucking taxes
I was really lucky and grew up middle class. We weren’t rich but I had it good
Chapagne socialists and poor empoverished commies
Like finacially poor
I had a good, dear friend who lived in the mansion neighborhood near my suburb. His dad owned 2 Chevy dealerships, and it’s 2008
Housing bubble bursts and GM takes a nosedive
Uh oh
