then all you can do is study how they interact
Yeah... don't even get me started on the flat earthers!! LOL
That one is another example of the dumbing down of our educational system!
Dude, lol
There is no "some point" where the science on a matter stops and can never change.
And BTW... the smallest particles we know of are quarks... but we have known about them for a long time
They said the exact same thing about atoms.
It was a long time between atoms and quarks in terms of discovery though.
It wasn't like a few years
yes there is... it is the point at which you no longer have the ability to see the thing in question or it would be too small to exist
We have knows about quarks for at least 50 years
You can't think outside the box on something smaller than a quark ?
If a microscope is invented that can see smaller than a quark, then why not ?
Quarks are pretty frigging small... LOL.
So are atoms
if there were such particles, we do not have the ability to see them
BUT....
way to go @JunoBlade, you just advanced to level 21 <:magahat:772838503239122984>
YET
The main reason we know about such things is because we can see that there are INTERACTIONS
unless we see interactions BELOW a subatomic level, then we will never be able to even theorize about them
Right, but you don't know that we won't see that at some point
i.e. dark matter... we KNOW it exists... because we can see it's gravitational effect
I don't... but there is not point in arguing about or theorizing about it until we have some evidence of its existence
Okay but what about smaller than quarks.
Nothing smaller than quarks at this time
My point in arguing about smaller than quarks now is because you're seeming to say that settled science can't really change
So is fact considered eternal or changable ?
Or do we say fact is what an actual temperature actually is, as opposed to the measure of that said temperature ?
Because that fact will always be eternal
I never said THAT science is settled
I said SOME sciences are settled
You are getting into esoteric ideas there that really have no basis in science.
Temperature is temperature... just likel the speed of light is the speed of light.
we don't change it just because we assign it a new name
Well, honestly like I said, future instruments could see smaller than chromosomes, you just dont know
Yes... but we DO know that those chomosomes are what determine things about your genetic makeup. That's what they are SUPPOSED to do
and we know that is what they DO do
and we know a certain combination of those chomosomes will determine if you are a genetic make or a genetic female
According to the scientific study. Just because it gave us a believable result doesn't make it 100% fact. Now, we've been taught those things all our lives so we take them as 100% fact
