Which order by the House ?
Not to sure but I remember basically it said the electoral college voters could not vote against the popular vote
Let me see if I can find it
I don't think that's in a law, sounds like somebody's opinion
I think this has something to do with it
I’m not so good on all the legal stuff though, so let me know if I’m wrong
That is an opinion like you were saying
No no, I don't mean a court opinion, that's different cuz it's legally binding, lol. By opinion, I meant by just a regular person or a non-justice.
This also seem related, but again I’m not very smart when it comes to this stuff so sorry
I think that's the same case, lol.
Well it was related then 😅
Well then now I'm not sure what to make of any of this, cuz it wouln't matter what happens outside of court then, right ?
January 6th, 2021 wouldn't matter
we're not hoping they vote against the populous vote, we want there vote to not count, that's why we're hopping they get rejected.
That's true, lol.
Yeah yeah for sure
But as it “seems” right now is Biden is in the lead for the popular vote
So really though, is there no way for Trump to get 270+ ?
nope
that's not where we are heading though
I think the only way would be in the courts. I really do think once the SCOTUS sees all the evidence, that they can get those ballots thrown out cuz law even says those ballots shouldn't be counted if they're unlawfull.
what happens when neither candidate get's 270
it won't be in the courts
they've already made it clear you don't want to be apart of this
well the supreme court
it'll be different if the states supreme courts act, they really need to
boo-ya!
Well, we aren't lawyers though. I've heard some conservative lawyers explain the reasoning why the SCOTUS could say it doesn't have standing. Sometimes we just see a court ruling against Trump as being against Trump, but there's alot of thoughts that go into SCOTUS decisions, which is why most opinion decisions are so many pages long.
well the states' supreme courts, scotus was just over a 100 words.
i'm on fire ladies & gentlemen!
And BTW, there's a common misconception that SCOTUS threw out the PA case, but they didn't.
nope, pa's supreme court did
But the PA case is still at SCOTUS, meaning they didn't wanna deny the whole thing.
what do you mean? i thought it never made it to scotus?
last i heard, it was thrown out of pa's court, & then nothing
No it did, remember Alito was giving the state until 9 AM on Safe Harbor day to respond to the lawsuit ?
