I need to remove a stripped screw and am considering getting an extractor bit but I don't own a drill or an impact driver, could I get something really cheap like under $30 or do I have to spend a lot of money for a powerful one? Also do I need a powerful drill or can a smaller impact driver work?

@Jagobah My luck with extractor bits is hit or miss. Do you have room to use a dremel to cut a slot and then use a flat head screwdriver?

Don't have a dremel either but this screw is flush against a steel plate

It also looks like a more complicated procedure but I'm even less experienced with dremels

You can try an extractor bit. I have also had luck with reverse drill bits

Wouldn't hurt to use some penetrating oil before trying to extract. Give the oil a couple of applications and give it some time

To be honest my experience on that sort of work have been larger stuff but superglue doesn't sound like a terrible idea on something so small
