2019-04-20 22:50:34 UTC

Or would it actually be a different dialect of english?

2019-04-20 22:50:43 UTC

2019-04-20 22:50:48 UTC

2019-04-20 22:50:58 UTC

It's technically a root

2019-04-20 22:51:10 UTC

2019-04-20 22:52:14 UTC

@Yowilkat that makes more sense... I guess old english is more like, How are you = "How goes't'

2019-04-20 22:52:27 UTC

Actually old English is more like Latin than English

2019-04-20 22:52:42 UTC

Really?

2019-04-20 22:52:46 UTC

Did we just hang the banana republic guy?

2019-04-20 22:52:48 UTC

That's interesting

2019-04-20 22:52:54 UTC

No, old English is more Germanic.

2019-04-20 22:53:18 UTC

Even middle English before chaucer was... Indecipherable by someone who only speaks modern English

2019-04-20 22:53:29 UTC

or life is just this shitty

2019-04-20 22:53:50 UTC

You realize that English has two root languages, right?

2019-04-20 22:54:16 UTC

Romance languages = latin languages., which include Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, and Romanian. Those languages are very closely related, I'm half Romanian so I've heard it spoken and been able to compare.

2019-04-20 22:54:51 UTC

spanish and german?

2019-04-20 22:55:02 UTC

Latin and German

2019-04-20 22:55:21 UTC

Though, Germanic roots came first.

2019-04-20 22:55:29 UTC

German itself was also heavily influenced by Latin.

2019-04-20 22:55:35 UTC

Especially christianity.

2019-04-20 22:55:40 UTC

And yet it's not considered a Latin language...

2019-04-20 22:56:12 UTC

Their history is basically Islam but in northern europe with christianity.

2019-04-20 22:56:15 UTC

damn even in my guessing I'm half right...motherfucker

2019-04-20 22:56:22 UTC

I just read that Latin was dominant in the western roman empire, as opposed to Greek in the eastern empire.

2019-04-20 22:56:50 UTC

migga you read

2019-04-20 22:56:59 UTC

love it bro!

2019-04-20 22:57:03 UTC

what do u mean @Xychotic

2019-04-20 22:57:39 UTC

I mean German history is so heavily influenced by religious orthodoxy, for a long time, they were little better than a christian state.

2019-04-20 22:58:10 UTC

even the socialism?
