Man its crazy how Competition pushes me so much

2019-05-26 18:49:11 UTC

@Xychotic morning

2019-05-26 18:50:12 UTC

I guess its morning somewhere

2019-05-26 18:50:20 UTC

Its 2:50 pm here

2019-05-26 18:51:59 UTC

You're edt?

2019-05-26 18:56:56 UTC

So I've been thinking about career options recently and I'm thinking:
in two years, will Notre dame be rebuilt in an aweful modern way or will there be enough time for me to learn brickmasoning/foreign languages to restore the building in time?

2019-05-26 18:58:28 UTC

It'll have a mosque built on it's grave

2019-05-26 18:58:29 UTC

it seems like building something like that is a forgotten art

2019-05-26 19:00:06 UTC

I'm just thinking about time. I cant go foreign until two years, and I need to get the trade learned by someone who (hopefully) knows about the architecture, but I dont want to waste two years for it to just be repurposed into a mosque or something

2019-05-26 19:00:54 UTC

Hmmm

2019-05-26 19:02:09 UTC

better question maybe:
is learning stonemasoning a good trade even if my main passion project is unreachable? not saying it is but just thinking ahead

2019-05-26 19:02:34 UTC

I think its old fashioned

2019-05-26 19:02:37 UTC

Waiting to see what the Netflix adaptation of Notre dame will look like

2019-05-26 19:02:43 UTC

And potentially will be phased out

2019-05-26 19:03:13 UTC

However, im not sure, look into the market and see if its growing.

2019-05-26 19:03:28 UTC

that's my concern. if i could go there tomorrow and have the skills necessary to do the job, I would go.

2019-05-26 19:04:13 UTC

A lot of brick buildings in NYC arnt even by bricklayers

2019-05-26 19:04:30 UTC

Theyre premade and installed with a crane

2019-05-26 19:04:58 UTC

a lot of NYC buildings look sturdier than they actually are

2019-05-26 19:05:18 UTC

Well we have a shit ton of codes to follow

2019-05-26 19:06:28 UTC

yeah. I just realized before that learning an ancestral skill and reclaiming a fallen masterpiece would give me a lot of meaning for years on end

2019-05-26 19:06:41 UTC

Some buildings will defintely have structual problems down the line

It's a great mgtow job. I'm by myself 95% of the day. Today was actually the first time I talked to coworkers for more than 5 min. My supervisor let me waste an hour just talking to him
