idk what the CSRP means ...

2019-05-27 15:08:25 UTC

yeah, maybe, we should move to DM

2019-05-27 15:08:26 UTC

Traditional is trading on fundementals, which no longer matter until they abruptly do.

2019-05-27 15:08:50 UTC

everyone else who wants to talk to about that stuff, just DM m eor so ...

2019-05-27 15:09:21 UTC

yeah, exactly, it looks like fundamental data matters 4 times a year on the Q earnings, and that's it
the rest is speculation

2019-05-27 15:09:52 UTC

So what are the cons of passive ETF/index fund investing?

2019-05-27 15:09:53 UTC

and yeah, sometimes the madness goes even beyond the earnings ...

2019-05-27 15:10:03 UTC

Clown world equity market? Your company is diving in revenue? Production dropping? Fed will bail you out and everyone is a winner except the dollar. <:clownpepe:564530802667290625>

2019-05-27 15:10:07 UTC

xD

2019-05-27 15:10:10 UTC

indeed

2019-05-27 15:10:22 UTC

The CSRP is the total market index.

2019-05-27 15:10:34 UTC

there is also this thing which holds me back from investing for the moment, that I was really unsure of looming crashes

2019-05-27 15:11:28 UTC

@Deleted User the cons against index fund investing are imho, that you have also a lot of bad performing shit in the general index
i.e. the banks were quite a disaster the recent years, especially in germany

2019-05-27 15:11:48 UTC

Yeah all sanity says this is the peak. If I had money I wouldn't get in right now. Personally I'm waiting for property prices to pull back since I'm looking to get land.

2019-05-27 15:11:50 UTC

so that sector cycle strategy sounds more reasonable

2019-05-27 15:12:35 UTC

@Deleted User the problem with property is really,
that the prices know only one direction, when money is printed all the time ...

and the direction only reverses, when there is a crash basically

2019-05-27 15:13:09 UTC

Which is what I'm banking on since the yeild curve inversion.

2019-05-27 15:14:04 UTC

do you know good indicators for a crash scenario ?
and what exactly to do ?

2019-05-27 15:14:08 UTC

@Deleted User Do you think timing the market works?

2019-05-27 15:14:18 UTC

I'm planning to get out of the euro ... as is will probably go down

2019-05-27 15:14:37 UTC

If I knew I wanted to live in the same place for longer than 4-5 years, I’d buy a place. It doesn’t seem worth it if I move around every 4-5 years lol.

2019-05-27 15:14:41 UTC

@Deleted User I think it definitely works, if you have insider info 😈

2019-05-27 15:14:44 UTC

Lol there are no crystal balls. Bond market investing usually means 6-18 months out shit gets sketchy

2019-05-27 15:14:49 UTC

as a normal mortal, probably not

2019-05-27 15:15:10 UTC

I plan on going 100% stocks (80 US / 20 Foreign).

2019-05-27 15:15:15 UTC

You can also keep a eye on the Baltic dry index, cost of worldwide shipping dropping usually isnt good

2019-05-27 15:15:26 UTC

*inverting

2019-05-27 15:15:27 UTC

I want to have $150k invested by age 25.

2019-05-27 15:15:32 UTC

Is that dumb?

2019-05-27 15:15:41 UTC

No?

2019-05-27 15:15:55 UTC

if you manage to get that money by this age, why not 😉

2019-05-27 15:16:01 UTC

Dude gyow. If this is what you want good luck.

2019-05-27 15:16:10 UTC

Just dont let a thot near it

2019-05-27 15:16:17 UTC

I won’t 😉

2019-05-27 15:16:20 UTC

but it depends, if there is a crash it's probably not good to have that invested pre crash

2019-05-27 15:16:28 UTC

I am feeling immense joy these last few days.

2019-05-27 15:16:43 UTC

All my friends are telling me about their shit relationships and I am just laughing my ass off.

2019-05-27 15:17:12 UTC

@conker true but if I don’t invest now I’m also missing out on gains which is why I don’t time the market. It’s a ride 😉

2019-05-27 15:17:17 UTC

@Deleted User are you trough the red pill rage / the grief cycle ?

2019-05-27 15:17:27 UTC

No. I’m still pretty angry lol.

2019-05-27 15:17:29 UTC

Bond market inverted before Christmas, this quarter saw some shit sales and production data. Still no bottom and the trump put is real.
