so true
I have dedicated myself to double suicide if push comes to shove
Which is why I work out and do combatives
I wanted the hounds story (that had a nice conclusion in the books) to be dragged out to include clegane bowl
I now learnt the hard way that a character should have a good conclusion of their story even at the cost of a seemingly cool fight
which was not cool
Also RIP Qyburn
Sometimes what's narratively consistent isn't always cool
So fucking true
wish i never learnt it the hard way
I like the plausible endings.
Even if they are anticlimactic.
Though, I agree, in cinema, it's often a good idea to make it more dramatically satisfying.
Why is cinema the exception?
Because its a visual medium
Yeah, pretty much.
The visual medium only has a few instants to make an impression.
Because you're imaging the fight in your head books/novels have endless play so long as its consistent
So, even an "unsatisfying" ending can be given a great deal of flavor that would take pages in a book.
I see
Just look at Star Wars and Rey.
Oh god
I mean, look how many people think that SW is ruined because of that?
I wish Rey would have fucking died. Such a shit character
Really, it isn't. Just disregard the sequels.
We need that meme with Disney and the infinity gauntlet
You can still love the originals and dismiss the sequels as the reskinned feminist propaganda pieces they are.
It's what i did
I just pretend that it's Lukes fever dream
I don't even give it that much credit.
It's like the Christmas special.
A cash grubbing fan fiction.
Like Islam and Mormonism.
LOL

That punchline broke Muhamad and Joseph Smith's bones
lol
But, then again, my understanding is that GoT overrun the content.
They should have stuck to the books instead of trying to do their own thing.
Fuckin' A
