I now learnt the hard way that a character should have a good conclusion of their story even at the cost of a seemingly cool fight

which was not cool

I like the plausible endings.

Even if they are anticlimactic.

Though, I agree, in cinema, it's often a good idea to make it more dramatically satisfying.

Why is cinema the exception?

Because its a visual medium

The visual medium only has a few instants to make an impression.

Because you're imaging the fight in your head books/novels have endless play so long as its consistent

So, even an "unsatisfying" ending can be given a great deal of flavor that would take pages in a book.

But, a slipshod ending can irrevocably ruin a scene/storyline.

Just look at Star Wars and Rey.
