yeah in an ideal world every kid gets adopted. in reality most of them dont
But they still live, and still grow, and still have the potential to be successful and have an impact
My message here is... ***Don't get raped***
thats a naive approach. you should see some orphanages inside . they stab each other for a candy
And that is worse than death in your opinion?
And I'm not saying the adoption process is perfect, but it is far better than death and can be improved upon
Arrest those orphans if they attempt to murder eachother.
Or is that also government overreach?
you keep creating more problems we can't solve on a society level. sure when it comes down to murder, that's an easy decisions, murder is wrong. on a bigger scale it's not that simple. and there are many many similar shitty decisions we should make, but can't, cause it's on the line, and then the people who happen to be in the unfortunate situation are left behind with no help whatsoever
I was thinking on the lines of veterans affairs but version for "rape victims who were in an unfortunate positions and could not support their children in any way whatsoever".
there are many similar things. what about parents with horribly disabled kids. we don't kill those kids. they wouldn't kill them either. but then what do we do? we do nothing about it
Those kids will live with disabillities.
So those disabled kids would be better off unborn?
I dont know what would be better. neither does the law
It's like shooting a dog because it can't walk(only difference is animal lives don't matter).
Sorry porc.
* *The porcupines will remember that* *
You know, whenever I see my local grocery clerk with down syndrome, maybe I should think "They should have died".
Im not talking about down syndrome though .there are people born with much worse disabilities
And their life matters less?
Andrea might be talking about VERY RARE cases.
They will live a hard life, maybe not even make it past a few years, but even if the child lives for a few days, they deserve to be born and given that chance
I didnt say their life matters less. it was an example that there are a lot complex situations, not just the rape victim
you for some reason wanna prove that I think people's life is worthless or something, so Im done here
farewell, nice job claiming victim status when you were trying to make it out like I just wanted to control people btw
Im not claiming victim, you keep arguing about something else, which Im not interested in
The problem when you start drawing lines for what mental or other genetic problems it is or is not acceptable, you have to remember doctors are wrong sometimes and medicine/technology advances. Tim Tebow is the famous example but there are others.
Modern medicine has turned the pediatric cancer survival rate of 20% in 1962 when St. Jude Children's Research Hospital opened to over 80% now. One of the cancers had a survival rate if only 4% then but now has over 95% survival rate What other pediatric problems we currently call non vital or life destructive could one day be a thing of the past.
Bottom line of this entire debate is this: rape is not okay but it should not result in a baby death. And BTW rape is a very small percentage of abortion cases so I have no idea why that’s even coming up. And no you shouldn’t have the right to kill a kid just because they have a disability of some sort.
Now that's alot of polls.
😉
Wallace should be an option because that’s who trump was debating
I'm gonna be honest, it wasn't a great debate. I think Trump had some good fact drops but they got lost in interruption quarrels. I wish he'd have allowed Biden some rope with which to hang himself then followed up with an epic truth bomb. I think a lot of good points got lost in the shuffle. So to me: the debate was kinda a wash.
yup trump interupted way to much
i think biden won which sucks
I think Trump won, but the media will say what he did was disrespectful, I didnt like it as much as I expected, but I still think that Trump actually answered the questions and seemed much more able.
Biden seemed good, but never gave a straight answer of what he was going to do, i don't know if that's because he was getting interrupted but it gets on my nerves that he kept dodging questions
all he did was dodge questions and say "Trump bad, Trump do nothing good"
> Biden seemed good, but never gave a straight answer of what he was going to do, i don't know if that's because he was getting interrupted but it gets on my nerves that he kept dodging questions
@Dstar_Destroyer I completely agree with this assessment. He didn't exactly make a fool of himself, but all of his responses felt very scripted and only a few seemed to fully match the question. Trump's responses actually felt natural, so that's why I say he wins, but I was really frustrated with all of the accusations flying around, from both sides. There were many times when it felt like they were trying to make it a personal matter rather than a political one.
Yup
