As a reminder, this channel is discussion of <#741520846484537404> and not polls in general.

Don't people know that Licorice is flavored by anus ... I mean, anise?

2020-11-01 23:02:56 UTC

I used to not like candy corn, but I love it now!

2020-11-02 03:53:36 UTC

I’m from Kentucky, I voted for Mitch McConnell but I don’t have a favorable view of them. I just had a even less favorable view of his opponent 😂

2020-11-02 04:51:26 UTC

He fights pretty hard for the Republican party to win... he has my vote.

2020-11-02 04:58:27 UTC

@Kaladin As per your poll. I do not and he is.

2020-11-02 13:34:44 UTC

^ agreed

2020-11-02 16:06:33 UTC

I think we all know that this server is gonna say Trump wins for nearly every state, lol

2020-11-02 16:07:06 UTC

Shhh...it is known, but it is still fun to get some polls out in preparation for election day 🙂

I'm honestly unsure about some of them because the electoral votes aren't always based off of the popular vote. Back in 2016, Trump won the popular vote in every state *except* California.

2020-11-02 20:37:59 UTC

Should there be an undecided or tossup option for the states in <#741520846484537404>

2020-11-02 20:40:21 UTC

I don't think it truly adds to the polls. For the most part this is a right leaning server, so a lot of people are going to choose Trump because they like Trump. If someone is undecided on who they think will win the day before, they don't need to vote. 🙂

2020-11-02 20:44:46 UTC

Its just i feel minnesota is a tossup because of the blue belt is starting to like trump more

2020-11-02 20:49:48 UTC

A toss up vote is a copout vote.
Now, if these were in need of clicks?
Sure, but they aren't.

2020-11-03 00:43:20 UTC

I say he wins all those states but Minnesota

2020-11-03 00:43:45 UTC

Regan won 49 except Minnesota so I doubt trump will win it

2020-11-03 01:12:55 UTC

@President Elect Adams The only reason Mondale took Minnesota is because it was his state...

I think Trump will lose Michigan and Minnesota but carry the rest of the swing states however I could see it being by very small margins and if he manages to flip them as well I wouldn’t be surprised

2020-11-03 11:46:33 UTC

That one pollster was in Ben’s show yesterday he had him winning all the swing states but Wisconsin and Minnesota

2020-11-03 12:04:27 UTC

Is that checked sign the EC vote?

2020-11-03 12:50:14 UTC

Hi everyone, i'm a french student in economics and sociology, and i'm verry curious about what is sociology (or social studies ?) like in USA. From what i've heard it seems it is a left-marked field. Is that thrue ? Did anyone of you studied it and is able to give me a quick insight about the programs ? also idk if this is the good chatroom to ask this question, but i feel school programs are pretty much a political matter.

2020-11-03 12:53:17 UTC

It's been 20 years since I had any classes, but they had a slight Left leaning back then. It wasn't just sociology, but nearly every class. My major was construction management.

2020-11-03 12:57:29 UTC

Is there any law in USA that(is ment to) prevent schools to become political, or prevents teachers/school officials to be political in their work ?

2020-11-03 12:58:08 UTC

No, there is not. That would violate the 1A.

2020-11-03 13:00:25 UTC

i see, thank you

2020-11-03 13:05:21 UTC

No prob. While I can't say that an Anti-Communist law could possibly help, it also could be used as a weapon to silence anyone branded a commie.

Every law is a double edged sword.
