Why take a vaccine for something with a >99.8% survival rate? Save it for the elderly.

2020-11-25 18:59:07 UTC

So are conservatives supposed to be anti vax?

2020-11-25 18:59:24 UTC

It's an actual conservation move.

2020-11-25 18:59:38 UTC

I still don’t get it

2020-11-25 18:59:59 UTC

Then nobody can help you with any answer.

2020-11-25 19:00:45 UTC

I will probably get the vaccine, but wont be in a rush to do so. If it is yearly like the flu shot i wont

2020-11-25 19:01:05 UTC

Yea it will

2020-11-25 23:44:48 UTC

I will get the vaccine probably eventually just not anytime soon.

2020-11-26 09:27:09 UTC

Its not like any of us will be able to get it anytime soon anyways, im sure the first doses will go to elites first, then healthcare, then elderly and vulnerable

2020-11-26 11:43:30 UTC

We haven't even had long enough to see if the vaccine will work over time yet. As C-19 is a virus, it mutates, so the vaccine would only work for one strain. It'll probs end up that you'll need to take it every year like the flu shot. (Influenza is also a virus, which is why one shot doesn't make you immune forever.)

2020-11-26 11:44:14 UTC

+C-19 has a survival rate of 99.9%

2020-11-26 19:45:51 UTC

It's likely the vaccine would be available to the general public in the spring

2020-11-26 19:47:07 UTC

Honestly if it's going to mutate like the flu I don't really care to take it
Although I know it's possible it might be required to have if I want to join my track team 😒

2020-11-26 21:04:56 UTC

They probably will require the useless vaccine, it's public schools after all

2020-11-26 21:51:38 UTC

Probably

2020-11-26 21:52:05 UTC

I think schools are starting to make an HIV vaccine mandatory too

2020-11-26 21:52:11 UTC

I could be wrong

2020-11-26 21:52:36 UTC

I've taken that vaccine twice and the first time I had a very bad reaction

2020-11-26 21:52:44 UTC

I almost fainted

2020-11-26 21:53:16 UTC

A few other kids took it and some kids ended up getting paralyzed

2020-11-26 21:53:29 UTC

Again, I could be wrong

2020-11-26 21:53:42 UTC

But this was around 2015

2020-11-26 21:58:19 UTC

Why would you need a HIV vaccine if you arent sleeping around in high school

2020-11-26 21:58:26 UTC

Or are these poorer areas

2020-11-26 23:53:39 UTC

Its HPV not HIV

2020-11-26 23:53:59 UTC

And in rural areas... teen pregnancy is waaaay too common sadly

2020-11-27 00:11:56 UTC

I took the hpv vaccine too went numb in my left side was really sick to my stomach and dizzy almost fainted only lasted 5 min

2020-11-27 00:12:14 UTC

Have to take it again next year

2020-11-27 03:54:42 UTC

I've heard about a lot of bad reactions to the HPV vaccine

2020-11-27 03:54:55 UTC

I don't know if it has been taken off market

2020-11-27 05:17:53 UTC

The HPV vaccine is stupid and I'm not sleeping around but there's the argument of "well you don't know and your child could be sleeping around so better safe than sorry"

2020-11-27 05:18:24 UTC

You probably shouldn't

2020-11-27 05:18:41 UTC

I've heard of kids getting paralyzed on their last booster

2020-11-27 05:18:54 UTC

My parents stopped after two because I had bad reactions

2020-11-27 05:19:11 UTC

And that's how we found out about the risks

2020-11-27 05:20:09 UTC

I don't live in a poor area

2020-11-27 05:20:23 UTC

But I don't know how rural areas are

2020-11-27 12:40:17 UTC

The mistake was you typing HIV, when it's really HPV

2020-11-27 15:03:32 UTC

I don’t have a choice but at least it’s my last hpv shot

2020-11-27 17:21:58 UTC

Tell me how it goes then

2020-11-27 17:52:34 UTC

I had all three HPV shots a few years back without any problems and so did my brother so there is probably other factors for people having a reaction like all things.
