The Posse Comitatus Act regulates the Military's powers during Martial Law. The National Guard isn't part of that, and neither is the Space Force.

I see a point in NATO if other countries pickup their slack but very little in UN.

The UN does nothing for the world

NATO is based off of a threat that doesn't exist anymore and probably will never exist again. They're both pretty pointless.

Although, I can see a similar, more modern organization to NATO kinda working.

While hopefully the combined power of NATO would never be needed against Russia or China, they are still a potential threat. Currently the US is really the only deterrent against either from steam rolling Europe.

Maybe then a restructuring to include countries in the Pacific region.
But yeah. The UN is basically useless.
